One of my favorite books of all time is Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert C. O’Brien. It is about a colony of very smart rats – so smart that they can read and write. And when you can read, you can do just about anything, so these rats have managed to build their own civilization complete with libraries and machines. When Mrs. Frisby, a widowed mouse living close by, asks the rats of NIMH for help moving their summer house out of danger, the rats must come up with a brilliant solution to help her. Will they manage?
