Do you remember all those classic childhood games you used to play? Does Kick the Can come to mind? How about the card game Spoons? Maybe you can’t remember the lyrics to “Pat-a-Cake” or the rules to Capture the Flag. Local author, Kirsten Denney, has published a book, The Orange Mama Laid, that is exactly what all parents and caregivers need to keep children under the age of 10 entertained. Lyrics to many songs and rhymes, as well as all the motions, are included, campfire games, card games, tag games, car games, races and many other activities are explained. It is a well-organized book that will bring back the best memories of childhood.

The Norwalk Public Library will soon have this book on their shelves, so keep an eye out for it.
